A man died after the pickup he was in struck an 18-wheeler parked on the shoulder early Saturday morning, police said. The man was a passenger in a black GMC pickup northbound in the 3100 block of West Loop North around 6:30 a.m. when the driver of the pickup failed to stay in a single lane and struck the 18-wheeler.

Houston homicide investigators are looking for a gunman who killed a 24-year-old man during an altercation between two groups of men in west Houston early Saturday morning, police said. An Huu Ho, "Andy," was fatally shot about 1 a.m. outside the Genji Restaurant and Bar in the 7900 block of Westheimer.
